PLAN AND PROGRAM:

Day 1:

Departure from Zagreb at 04:30 with information about the place of departure in the final letter. Possible departure from Karlovac at 05:15 a.m. from the Petrol gas station at the toll booths (time frame, mandatory announcement when booking the program). Departure from Rijeka at 7:00 a.m. from the northern rest area of ​​Vrata Jadran. Driving through Slovenia and Italy with short rest stops. Continuation of the journey on the panoramic road above the Ligurian Riviera via Savona, Sanremo, the famous “riviera of flowers”, to the French border. Arrival in Nice, the center of the Côte d’Azur. Sightseeing of the old historic center on foot, including the Cours Saléya flower market, the cathedral of St. Reparate, the famous Promenade des Anglais and Massena square. Accommodation in a hotel on the Côte d’Azur. Overnight stay.

Day 2:

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel and drive with short stops on the road above the Cote d’Azur through Provence towards the south of France. Arrival in Carcassonne, a fortified city of knights. A walk through the historic city center. Shorter free time. Continuation of the road towards the Pyrenees Mountains. Arrival in Lourdes, a great Marian shrine and place of pilgrimage. Visit to the sanctuary, including the Basilica of the Rosary, the underground Basilica of Pius X, the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the Church of St. Bernadette and the Apparition Cave. Hotel accommodation. Possible dinner at the hotel for an extra charge. It is possible to go together to the evening procession with candles. Overnight stay.

Day 3:

Breakfast. Full-day optional excursion to the Basque Atlantic coast. A visit to the famous French resort of St. Jean de la Luz and a walk through the historic site to the church of St. Ivan, picturesque harbors and city markets. Drive to the Basque coast of Spain and visit San Sebastian (Donostia in Basque). City sightseeing includes Miramar Palace, Plaza de la Constitucion, La Concha Beach and Paseo Nuevo. Free time in the city center. Return to the hotel in Lourdes. Travelers who do not want to go on an excursion have the whole day at their disposal in Lourdes for personal programs and a visit to the shrine. Possible dinner at the hotel for an extra charge. Day 4:

Breakfast. Half-day optional trip to the mountainous world of the Pyrenees and the Gavarnie area, which is under UNESCO protection for its magnificent natural beauty. A visit to the mountain village of Gavarnie and a walk to beautiful natural beauties. Free time for personal programs, shopping and attending processions in Lourdes. Possible dinner at the hotel for an extra charge. Overnight stay.

Day 5:

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel in Lourdes and drive towards the French Mediterranean coast with short stops. Visit to the historic town of Aigues Mortes, a fortified knight’s town surrounded by salt pans. A walk through the historic core of the knightly city surrounded by towers. Continuation of the journey towards the Cote d’Azur. Hotel accommodation. Overnight stay.

Day 6:

Breakfast. Departure to the most beautiful village of Provence, St. Paul de Vence. A walk along the main street with numerous art galleries and a visit to the fountain, the church and the cemetery of Mark Chagall. Shorter free time. Return driving through Italy and Slovenia with short stops. Arrival in Croatia in the late hours.

Additional contents and costs not provided for in the program, such as drinks, additional meals, telephone costs, tickets for public city transport and the like. These expenses are of a personal nature and are not included in the price of the trip.
